We are currently working with a well-established mechanical contractor based in Guildford who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of mechanical projects across the South East. The company delivers projects across social housing, public health and local authority sectors, with typical project values up to £1.5m. This role would suit someone who enjoys managing multiple smaller projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients and site teams.
The Role
As Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing several projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing multiple mechanical projects simultaneously
- Overseeing Project Managers, Supervisors and site teams
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Client liaison with housing associations, local authorities and public sector clients
- Managing subcontractors and supply chain
- Working closely with the commercial team on project performance
- Ensuring health & safety and quality standards are maintained
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Manager
- Strong background delivering mechanical projects within social housing, public sector or refurbishment environments
- Experience managing multiple projects up to £1.5m
- Strong organisational and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
