A well-established and growing M&E contractor delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, residential, and data centre sectors. With a strong pipeline of secured work and projects typically ranging from £2m to £15m, they are looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with an experienced M&E Pre-Construction Manager.
As an M&E Pre-Construction Manager, you will play a key role in the early stages of project delivery, leading the bid and pre-construction process from initial enquiry through to handover to operations. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure technically robust and commercially competitive submissions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the full pre-construction process across multiple M&E projects
- Manage and coordinate tender submissions, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and employer’s requirements
- Develop cost plans, value engineering solutions, and risk assessments
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
- Support bid strategy, programme development, and procurement planning
- Work closely with estimating and design teams to produce competitive and compliant bids
- Attend client meetings and presentations as required
- Proven experience in an M&E Pre-Construction / Bid Management role
- Strong technical knowledge across mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience delivering projects within commercial, residential, or data centre sectors
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costing
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Background in either mechanical or electrical discipline (preferred)
