M&E Quantity Surveyor Location: London Bridge Salary: £80,000 – £85,000 + package Job type: Permanent, full time The company Our client is a well-established MEP contractor based in London Bridge, with a strong reputation for delivering mechanical and electrical packages on commercial projects across London. Due to a healthy order book, they are looking to add an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team. The role You will take full commercial responsibility for M&E packages from tender through to final account, working closely with project managers, estimators and site teams, and reporting to the Commercial Manager. Key responsibilities * Take commercial lead on M&E packages from pre-contract through to final account * Measure and value mechanical and electrical works, and prepare interim applications for payment * Procure subcontract packages, including tender enquiries, bid analysis and subcontract orders * Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments * Identify, price and agree variations, and manage change control * Prepare cost reports, forecasts and cost value reconciliations (CVRs) for senior management * Negotiate and agree final accounts * Identify and manage commercial and contractual risk * Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team About you * Substantial experience as a Quantity Surveyor with an M&E or building services contractor * Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical services * Experience running packages under JCT and/or NEC forms of contract * A track record of managing accounts through to final account * Confident with cost reporting, CVRs and forecasting * Strong negotiation and communication skills * A degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related subject is preferred * Experience on commercial, fit-out or resi and similar London projects is an advantage What's on offer * £80,000 – £90,000 plus package * A permanent role with a stable, established business and a secure pipeline of work * Clear progression towards Commercial Manager level * A central London Bridge office with excellent transport links
