We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a leading MEP contractor working on a large-scale residential development in Billericay. This is a site-based position overseeing mechanical installation works and ensuring projects are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.
The Role
- Supervise mechanical installation works across a large residential development
- Manage and coordinate mechanical engineers, subcontractors and site teams
- Ensure works are installed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, construction and other trades
- Monitor progress and report back to the Project Manager
- Assist with programme planning and sequencing of works
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure works meet required standards
- Manage site documentation, RAMS and permits where required
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Liaise with the wider site management team to resolve technical and installation issues
About You
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Supervisor / Mechanical Chargehand / Mechanical Foreman
- Experience working on large residential developments
- Strong knowledge of mechanical building services installations
- Ability to manage site teams and subcontractors
- Good understanding of construction programmes and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Relevant mechanical qualifications are desirable
