We are currently working with a leading MEP contractor who are looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join their team on a major residential development in Basildon. This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Site Manager with a strong background in residential MEP projects to take responsibility for the mechanical installation and site delivery of a large-scale scheme.
The Role
As Mechanical Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day mechanical installation on site
- Supervising mechanical subcontractors and site teams
- Coordinating mechanical works with other MEP trades and construction teams
- Monitoring progress against programme
- Ensuring works are completed to drawings, specifications and relevant standards
- Carrying out inspections and maintaining quality standards
- Attending site meetings and coordinating with the Project Manager
- Managing health & safety requirements on site
- Reporting progress, issues and variations to the project team
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Site Manager / Mechanical Supervisor
- Strong experience working on residential developments
- Good knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, plumbing, heating and ventilation
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Relevant SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
