I am seeking an experienced Tool Maker to join my renowned production engineering client based just north of Heathrow Airport, West London.

The Tool Maker is responsible for the design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of precision tools, jigs, and fixtures used in the manufacturing and assembly of aerospace components.

Role Details

  • Position: Tool Maker
  • Location: Hayes, Middlesex
  • Shift: Monday - Friday. Full-time permanent.
  • Salary: Up To 43,075 plus attractive benefits package

Candidate Requirements

  • Applicants must already hold the right to live & work in the UK without restrictions. No sponsorships can be provided now or in the future.
  • Engineering Apprenticeship preferred but not essential.
  • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Workshop experience, preferably in aerospace, is essential.
  • Knowledge of mathematics and workshop practices to at least City and Guilds Engineering standard.
  • Strong machining skills and understanding of materials and tools.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication and knowledge of various materials.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate manual and CNC machine tools, including milling machines, lathes, grinders, and hand tools.
  • Use precision measuring instruments.
  • Manufacture, service, and repair tools, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Assist in tooling design and collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing tools.
  • Support manufacturing of tooling for assembly and testing.
