My client is looking for an engineering workshop Grinder to join them on a permanent basis close to Heathrow Airport. You'll support the workshop by performing high‐precision grinding operations on aircraft components using cylindrical and surface grinding machines. This global employer supports your training & personal development, with a view to progression within the business.

Role

Location & Hours: Close to Heathrow Airport with free parking. 37.5 hours per week, Monday‐Friday. Shift pattern: week one early shift, week two late shift.

Salary: 33,670 – 37,000 incl. shift allowance.

Requirements

  • Must already hold the right to live and work in the UK without needing sponsorship.
  • Extensive experience working internal and external grinding machines; knowledge of both essential.
  • Experience with cylindrical and surface grinding machines.
  • Aerospace background not essential but beneficial.
  • Knowledge of CNC grinding preferable.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong experience in a similar role.
  • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings.
  • The position involves the training and use of overhead cranes.
  • Must understand manual handling.
  • Works with hand tools, power tools and complex machinery.
