On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit an Engineering Business Manager on an initial 10-month contract. As the Engineering Business Manager, you will be supporting the engineering team and help shape the future of our Business Operations.
Role: Engineering Business Manager
Pay: £39 per hour via Umbrella
Location: Filton
Contract: Monday- Friday, 35 Hours per week, 10 months (possible extension)
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS
Responsibilities:
- Assuring that business and project management processes are followed within your engineering programme team.
- Building and maintaining robust integrated plans with all stakeholders involved.
- Maintaining a credible resource and financial plan.
- Promoting a mindset of anticipation to identify and act on potential risks, opportunities and workload evolution.
- Assuring that internal resourcing and external engineering service supplier activities are launched in line with the plan and managed in accordance with Airbus policy and processes.
- Proactively managing the collation & reporting of key performance indicators to ensure that the 1YL business management data is readily available for effective performance management.
- Providing guidance and mentoring to our engineering community on business and project management.
- Supporting 1YL with the implementation of Business / Project Management best practices and enabling a culture of continuous improvement.
Essential Skills:
- Experienced in Business Management and/or Project Management.
- Customer focused and able to engage, inspire and manage multiple stakeholders with enthusiasm and energy.
- Ability to be flexible, pragmatic and have an analytical style of working whilst still having good attention to detail.
- Curious and innovative with a willingness to challenge the norm and learn / continuously improve.
- Managing offload suppliers.
- Managing purchase orders.
