Experienced Toolmaker required in the Warwick area due to the ongoing growth of the business! This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, forward-thinking aerospace MRO (Maintenance, repair & overhaul) business on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- Welding & Repair: Carry out welding and stud extraction on aircraft components
- Manufacturing & Repair: Fabricate, modify, and repair precision tooling, jigs, fixtures, moulds, and stands
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines (Electrical Discharge Machining)
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to ensure close tolerances
- Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, regrinding, and preventative maintenance of tooling and equipment
- Problem Solving: Diagnose faults and implement solutions to minimise production downtime
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams, supporting continuous improvement and new product introduction
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Completed apprenticeship or vocational training in Toolmaking, Machining, or a related engineering discipline
- Strong experience operating machine tools and using precision measuring equipment
- Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards
- Background in the aviation or aerospace industry (or similar strictly regulated environment)
- Experience working within a repair shop environment
- Willingness to travel and work away from base when required
Salary will be fair and dependent on each individual's experience.
