On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Systems Functional Design Engineer on an initial 12-month contract.

Role: Systems Functional Design Engineer

Pay: Up to 80 per hour via umbrella

Location: Stevenage, Bristol or Bolton

Contract: Monday- Friday, 37 Hours per week, 12 Months Contract

IR35 Status: Inside

Security Clearance: Security Clearance required to start

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a team developing system architecture and design utilising MBSE.
  • Deriving and managing requirements.
  • Communicating with various stakeholders with the Seeker team and the external customer and suppliers internally.
  • Developing Physical and Functional Architecture using SysML techniques.
  • Developing Seeker Functional and Operational function and design.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience with deriving and managing requirements.
  • Experience with generating Functional and Physical Architecture using SysML, ARCADIA, or similar MBSE language.
  • Experience dissecting and understanding customer requirements and disseminating them down into lower-level subsystem requirements and complex functional architectures.
  • Consistent ability to deliver required output within agreed timescales.
  • Skill in cultivating strong relationships with colleagues, external departments and customers.
  • Experience with Model based Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with Systems engineering tools like DOORS / DOORS Next / Rhapsody / Capella.
