The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Our client has an opportunity for a Material Controller to join them on a permanent basis in Luton on days or nights. Day shifts follow a 5‑5‑4 rotation, with combinations of early and night hours, working up until 11 pm. Night shifts run from 7 pm to 7 am. Salary is discussed upon application.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all material received is undamaged, the correct quantity and accompanied by correct release documentation.
- Book onto the QUANTUM system, place items that fail inspection into quarantine and liaise with airlines to resolve discrepancies.
- Place acceptable received material into the secure store.
- Ensure stock levels are correctly maintained.
- Return unserviceable material to airlines in good time, preventing any potential charges to the business.
- Ensure shelf life of components, material and tooling are not exceeded.
- Collect and deliver items from/to suppliers, couriers and security as required.
- Issue material to engineers while maintaining the QUANTUM/AMOS system.
- Comply with all internal and external audit requirements.
- Other tasks as required to support operational requirements.
Requirements
- Must be fit and able to deal with heavy/bulky items.
- Willing to assist at other locations when requested.
- 2+ years’ experience working in a stores environment.
- Previous aviation logistics/stores experience preferred but training can be given.
- Experience with QUANTUM stores preferred and an advantage, but training can be given.
- Experience with AMOS stores preferred and an advantage, but training can be given.
- Knowledge of goods inspection.
- High level of IT literacy with proficient knowledge of Microsoft systems, especially Excel.
- Driving license required.
Qualifications & Education
- Secondary school level.
- Excellent English in both verbal and written form.
- Vetting will be required before starting.
