The predicted salary is between 65 - 75 £ per hour.

Our client has an opportunity for a Building and Construction Project Lead to join them on a contract basis for 6 months with possible extension. You will be designing complex, real‑time simulations that surround real hardware.

Role: RF Engineer

Location: Stevenage; 4 days onsite per week

Hours and Compensation: 37 per week; £65‑£75 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35

Clearance: BPSS required before starting, full SC to follow

Responsibilities:

  • As a HWIL RF engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining new and existing RF equipment.
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams to combine RF, electronics engineering and software development to produce new capabilities that enable the HWIL team to run new simulations.
  • You will adapt to new engineering situations and be comfortable abstracting detail to understand the simulation and missile’s behaviour.

Qualifications:

  • Broad engineering experience with deeper experience in some of the following skill areas:
  • Radio Frequency design and testing
  • System performance analysis
  • Interface debugging and system integration
  • Hardware/Software design requirements
  • System design for real‑time applications
  • Familiarity with Linux operating system
  • Familiarity with computer science (C++ an advantage)
  • Integration of microcontrollers into RF hardware (e.g. Raspberry Pi)
