Job Description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit Spacecraft Production Operator on an initial 6 -month contract. As the Spacecraft Production Operator, you will be responsible for the Assembly, Integration and Test of Spacecraft Payloads and active antennas.\\n\\nRole: Spacecraft Production Operator\\n Pay: £21 – £25 per hour Via Umbrella + Shift uplift when on shifts\\n Location: Portsmouth\\n Contract: 4 on 4 off early, late and night shifts ( when required) – 6 months \\n IR35 Status: Inside\\n Security Clearance: BPSS, UK Eyes only project\\n\\nResponsibilities\\n\\nHealth and safety: Comply with production area Health and Safety requirements and practices, including handling of hazardous substances iaw COSHH requirements\\nMechanical integration of Payload equipment's, Connectivity items (coaxial cables and waveguide), Test instrumentation (thermocouples, heater circuits and accelerometers), DC harness (connector mating and de-mating), MLI (templating, tailoring and fitting), Structural (inserts, riv-nuts, panel repairs) and wiring activities.\\nAll achieved via Interpreting technical documentation (schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, 2D and 3D General Assembly Drawings, technical notes and integration procedures)\\nElectrical test including performing automated test sequences using a Payload Test System, manual RF measurements of payload equipment and sub systems and Electrical integration.\\nAll achieved via interpretation of test procedures and schematics.\\nTest performance: checking of payload equipment performance against parameters detailed in test procedures and review results for non-conformances.\\nWorkspace standard are maintained including 5S policy, process confirmation, tool control\\nTeam performance: Contribute to team performance activities including Kaizen and SQCDP\\n Essential Skills\\n\\nExperience in a production environment related to mechanical assembly or electrical/RF test\\nHNC or HND in an engineering production or maintenance field\\nApprenticeship in Aerospace/Space or other high quality production or maintenance field\\n If you are interested in applying for this position and you meet the requirements, please send your updated CV to: Natalie Dalkin at Line Up Aviation \\n\\nLine Up Aviation has carved its own place in the recruitment of Aviation and Aerospace personnel all over the world for more than 30 years.
