Our client has an opportunity for a Mechanical Design Draughtsperson to join them on a contract basis for 6 months with possible extension. You will be working closely with a wide range of project teams to develop definitions to meet the manufacturers and customers' needs.
Location: Stevenage, 2 days onsite as a minimum
Hours: 37 per week
Hourly Rate: 43-45 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
Clearance: SC required before starting, UK Eyes Only due to project
What you’ll be doing:
- Must have a strong background in the ability to create 2D and 3D definitions.
- In this role, you will develop the 2D and 3D definitions working with the engineer, quality assessing the 3D models you receive for a variety of defence products.
- Appointments will be made at an appropriate level based on skills and experience.
- Please bring examples of 2D draughting work to show in the interview.
Requirements:
- Degree, HND, or HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant industry experience.
- Excellent knowledge of BS8888 Technical product documentation and specification, ISO 1101 Geometrical product specifications, ISO 5459 Datum and datum systems and similar standards and GD.
