We are looking for a skilled and detail-driven Mechanical Workshop Engineer to join a company that specialises in defence and civil aerospace component MRO - where engineering excellence directly supports mission-critical aircraft operations around the world.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of our specialist workshop team, you’ll support the assembly, repair, overhaul, and testing of integrated aircraft mechanical systems, ensuring every component meets the highest aviation standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Disassembling aircraft mechanical assemblies to assess condition, wear, and serviceability
  • Interpreting Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), repair instructions, and engineering data
  • Performing precision repairs and reassembly to exact aircraft tolerances
  • Assembling integrated systems with precise fit, alignment, and function
  • Conducting functional testing, including hydraulic and pneumatic elements
  • Selecting approved materials and repair methods to aviation standards
  • Supporting 'Reduce to Produce' initiatives to maximise recovery and efficiency
