Our client has an opportunity for a Maintenance Planning Engineer to join them on a contract basis for 12 months with likely extension. You will be responsible for the management of maintenance and materials planning requirements and the production of line and base maintenance work packs.

Location: Shawbury, fully onsite

Hours: Mon - Fri / 08:00 - 17:00 / 40 hrs per week

Hourly Rate: £40.11 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35

Clearance: BPSS required before starting, full SC to follow

What you'll be doing:

  • Follow the company procedures in order to ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with the Maintenance Team and other key departments to ensure a common understanding of maintenance capability and capacity.
  • Enter technical log utilisation data onto the MIS.
  • Review of allocated aircraft maintenance status to ensure compliance with the approved maintenance programme.
  • Preparation and review of maintenance variations.
  • Identify provisional maintenance dates for allocated aircraft based on projected utilisation and keep up to date the in-house maintenance planning calendar.
  • Review material requirements against provisional maintenance dates for allocated aircraft.
  • Raise reservations/purchase requisitions for required materials.
  • Liaise with Customer Support Managers to confirm maintenance dates with the owner/operator.

Requirements:

  • Essential:
  • Good understanding of aircraft maintenance planning and material planning requirements as related to Part CAMO / A8-25 & Part 145 / A8-23.
  • Minimum 5 GCSE's Grade C or above or equivalent recognised qualifications (e.g. NVQ, BTEC).
  • Methodical with acute attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision or as part of a team.
  • Flexible work ethic focused on delivering against agreed timelines.
  • Proactive - ability to recognise potential issues and apply remedial action before they raise concern or affect operations.
  • Must have high computer literacy skills and be competent with Google Suite applications.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
