Salary: GBP33670 - GBP34000 per annum

I am seeking a Skilled Machine Borer to join my renowned aviation industry client based in West London, close to Heathrow Airport.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating all types of boring machines, particularly horizontal boring machines and jig borers.

Role: Machine Borer, Location: West London, Shift: Monday to Friday (Week one – early shift, Week two - late shift), Salary: £33,670 - £36,500 incl. shift allowance

Applicants must already hold the right to live and work in the UK.

Main responsibilities:

  • To operate all types of boring machines to fine limits.
  • Operate various boring machines to precision limits.
  • Work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, OHM, CMM, and SOPM.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of horizontal boring practices and the ability to measure using imperial units.
  • Utilise computers, spreadsheetsand database programs
  • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English
  • Trained in machine shop technology and machining practices.
  • Extensive experience operating horizontal boring machines.
  • Strong working knowledge of jig borers.
  • Knowledge of CNC boring is preferable.
  • Aerospace industry experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of precision machining and quality control.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Good planning, organisation and administration skills, PC literate.
