The Electroplater will play a crucial role in the surface treatment of aircraft components, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards for safety and durability.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare parts for electroplating, including masking techniques.
  • Perform surface preparation by grit blasting (advantageous but not essential).
  • Execute a range of electroplating processes: Cadmium Plate, Dalic Cadmium plate, Nickel plating, Hard Chrome plating, Alocrom, Nital etch (acid etch inspection).
  • Heat treat components as needed.
  • Work in line with technical instructions and maintain quality standards.
  • Adhere to environmental regulations associated with the electroplating industry.
  • Understand procedures related to COMAH (training provided).

Essential Experience

  • Previous work within a plating shop environment.
  • Basic knowledge of processes and procedures used in electroplating.
  • Experience working in a Part145 environment.
  • Strong team player.
  • Moderate level of PC literacy.
