What You'll Be Doing
As part of our specialist workshop team, you'll support the assembly, repair, overhaul, and testing of integrated aircraft mechanical systems, ensuring every component meets the highest aviation standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Disassembling aircraft mechanical assemblies to assess condition, wear, and serviceability
- Interpreting Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), repair instructions, and engineering data
- Performing precision repairs and reassembly to exact aircraft tolerances
- Assembling integrated systems with precise fit, alignment, and function
- Conducting functional testing, including hydraulic and pneumatic elements
- Selecting approved materials and repair methods to aviation standards
- Supporting 'Reduce to Produce' initiatives to maximise recovery and efficiency
- Recording work, testing data, and operational results accurately
- Maintaining calibrated tools and compliant workshop equipment
- Applying structured fault-finding and root cause analysis
- Upholding strict safety, quality, and regulatory compliance at all times
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Hands-on experience in precision mechanical assembly, repair, or overhaul
- Knowledge of aerospace hydraulic systems and basic testing
- Strong understanding of tolerances, materials, and mechanical principles
