Our client has an opportunity for an Aircraft Electrical Fitter to join them on a contract basis until the end of the year. The Aircraft Electrical Fitter is responsible for assisting in the movement, line and base maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135/H145 fleet.
Role Details
- Location: RAF Valley, Wales. Fully onsite
- Hours: 40 per week – shifts TBD
- Hourly Rate: £28.16 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
- Clearance: BPSS required before starting, full SC to follow
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
- Accomplish maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by a nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
- Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
- Complete maintenance, including avionic and electrical systems, in accordance with written instructions laid down by OEM.
- Conduct off‑aircraft technical work in workshops as required.
- Assist in day‑to‑day running of the aircraft hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
Requirements
- Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical and avionic systems.
- Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to electrical and avionic systems.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of flight/airport operations, aircraft line maintenance, and aircraft base maintenance.
