Our client has an opportunity for an Aircraft Electrical Fitter to join them on a contract basis until the end of the year. The Aircraft Electrical Fitter is responsible for assisting in the movement, Line and Base Maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135/H145 fleet.
Location: RAF Valley - Wales. Fully onsite
Hours: 40 per week - shifts TBC
Hourly Rate: £28.16 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
Clearance: BPSS required before starting, full SC to follow
What you'll be doing:
- Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
- Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
- Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
- Completion of maintenance, including avionic and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions laid down by OEM.
- Conduct off-aircraft technical work in workshops as required.
- Assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.
- Must have thorough knowledge of electrical and avionic systems.
- Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to electrical and avionic systems.
- Must have up to date knowledge of: Flight/Airport Operations, Aircraft Line Maintenance, Aircraft Base Maintenance.
