Location: Close to Heathrow Airport with free onsite parking

Salary: £30,000 - £32,500 DOE

Contract Type: One year fixed term contract. Will possibly be extended to two years based on business needs.

Hours: Monday-Friday. 08:30 - 16:30

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service Specialist to join a dynamic aerospace MRO environment, who value their employees and offer ongoing personal development opportunities. This is a customer-facing role where you will support an aircraft component overhaul business, acting as the key liaison between customers and internal teams throughout the MRO event lifecycle. You will ensure accurate communication, coordinate activities, and help deliver on critical operational commitments for a global customer base. Working closely with Account Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer expectations are met and exceeded.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary operational point of contact for assigned customer MRO events, and coordinate these events through the whole lifecycle
  • Build and maintain strong day-to-day customer relationships
  • Provide regular status updates, reports, and meeting coordination
  • Clearly communicate progress, milestones, risks, and delivery updates
  • Support the communication of quotations, estimates, and invoices
  • Work closely with Event Managers, Engineering, Production, and Logistics teams
  • Monitor operational progress and proactively identify risks to delivery
  • Coordinate induction, shipping, and documentation activities
  • Escalate issues that may impact customer commitments
  • Resolve customer issues, complaints, discrepancies, and warranty claims
  • Track actions through to completion, ensuring timely closure
  • Build strong internal relationships across multiple departments
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Promote a collaborative, customer-focused culture

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Essential - Previous experience in Customer Service / Customer Operations / Account Coordination within an aerospace, aviation, or MRO environment
  • Understanding of aircraft MRO processes and aerospace supply chain
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, operational setting
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Awareness of quality, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Commercial awareness within a service-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident stakeholder management across multiple functions
  • Proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused mindset
  • Ability to communicate technical/operational information clearly to customers
