I am looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join my fantastic aerospace client based in Farnborough on a 6-month contract. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of electrical products across multiple Zephyr programmes. You will help generate and maintain the digital design record, collaborating closely with both internal teams and external manufacturing and installation partners.

Main activities of role:

  • Support Avionics and Systems Engineering teams in developing and maintaining the production design record for new concepts and design changes.
  • Produce detailed electrical design solutions using SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Select appropriate electrical components to satisfy schematic and system level requirements.
  • Act as a key contact for electrical design queries across engineering and production.
  • Provide hands-on support to the build line in resolving emerging electrical issues.
  • Support and participate in design maturity gate reviews in accordance with AALTO's design processes.
  • Help manage design changes in line with configuration and change control processes.
  • Collaborate with Production and Procurement teams to ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) considerations are addressed early in the lifecycle.
