Our client has an opportunity for an Electronic Engineering Business Manager to join them on a contract basis for an initial 6-months with potential for extension. Role: Electronic Engineering Business Manager Location: Stevenage – 60% onsite Hours: 37 per week Hourly Rate: £60 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35 Clearance: BPSS required to start, full SC to follow. What you\’ll be doing: Working under the leadership of the Electronic Engineering (EE) Head of Future Technology & Governance, you will be responsible for the management of the 2025 electronic engineering budget working with the Heads of Capability and other leaders within the EE Function. Additionally, you will manage the same group of people through the process of planning and structuring the functional budget for 2026. From a business operation perspective, you will be involved with the EE Asset Management activities, working with the EE Lab Manager to ensure Capital is planned in line with functional priorities and that all assets and managed appropriately through life with all required cover provided within the functional budget. In order to deliver on the Project commitments, Electronic Engineering\’s Governance Team needs to support all of the engineering delivery teams in all business operation areas including functional finance and asset/facilities management. We are therefore looking for a Business Manager with experience of both Financial Management and Business Operations Management to join the team. Leadership of the management of all functional budgets (Capital, Non-Payroll, Functional Projects) through 2025 and into 2026 Preparation of Local Operating Process guides to define and ensure consistency in how functional budgets are utilised across all capabilities and delivery teams Conduct financial data analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Support to Governance and Business Operation strategic improvement actions led by others within the Future Technology & Governance team Support delivery of performance metrics to the EE Senior Leadership Team EE stakeholder management – EE Deputy Director, Heads of Capability, Future Technology & Governance Team Wider stakeholder management – UK Finance, Site Management Team Requirements: Excellent attention to detail and organisations skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good understanding of Finance (General Ledger Accounts, Capital) Strong excel Data analytics Business financial management If you are interested in applying for this position and you meet the requirements, please apply!
