Our client has an opportunity for an Embedded C Software Engineer to join them on a contract basis. You will need to be able to work independently and be self-driven whilst providing some technical leadership. You will need to be very proactive and comfortable working with teams outside of the SW department, and be able to develop embedded SW in C and work in a lab-based environment using various test tools such as scopes, logic analysers, bespoke test equipment and host-based testing.

Location: Stevenage - fully onsite
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: 6 months with possible extension
Clearance: Full SC required before starting - UKEO due to project
Hourly Rate: Up to 70 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35 - DOE
What you’ll be doing: You will be responsible for delivering the on-board software for the next generation of Missile Systems. This is a hands-on role and will involve architecting, designing, implementing and testing missile subsystem software.
Requirements:
- Ability to debug complex problems and produce required documentation to achieve the required safety level.
- Authoring Specifications through the full lifecycle: planning, design and test documents.
- Requirements Analysis Experience.
- Knowledge of Source Configuration Control Processes (e.g., PVCS, RTC, GIT).
- Working with minimal supervision.
- Experience of working with formal requirements capture tools.
