Seeking dynamic Disassembly Technicians to join my aviation overhaul client close to Heathrow Airport. You will carefully disassemble large electro-mechanical aircraft parts to a high standard, without causing damage to any individual components. This physically demanding role may suit candidates with hands-on automotive experience, mechanical assembly/disassembly experience of large mechanical components or those with similar backgrounds.
Role: Disassembly Technician - Permanent Position
Location: Near Heathrow Airport, West London
Salary: £30,470 - £32,220 incl. shift pay
Hours: Mon-Fri. Week one: 6am-2pm. Week two: 1:55pm-9:55pm
Main Responsibilities:
- Disassemble aircraft components I.A.W the manufacturer instructions, and avoiding additional damage
- Work to tight deadlines
- Correctly use company tools
- Use the company IT system to log tasks completed
- Report to Leading Hand / Team Leader if damage occurs so that improvements can be investigated
- Embrace an open reporting culture
- Carry out missing and damaged inspections
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Equivalent to GCSE A-C grades
- Qualification in an engineering subject would be desirable
- It would be advantageous but not essential that the applicant would have served an apprenticeship within a mechanical assembly/disassembly environment
- Illustrate previous knowledge and experience of use of hand tools
- Good knowledge, awareness and understanding of PPE
- Previous use of overhead cranes and forklifts would be preferable
- It would be preferable but not essential for the applicant to have worked in an aerospace environment to regulatory manuals
