Our client has an opportunity for a Conformance Manager/Quality Engineer to join them on a contract basis until November 2026. You will be providing guidance and delegation of tasks to Product Quality Control and Quality Assurance Engineering personnel and co-operating with other functional departments.
Location: Belfast - fully onsite
Hours: 36 per week
Clearance: BPSS required before starting
Hourly Rate: Β£31.90 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
What you'll be doing:
- Providing guidance and delegation of tasks to Product Quality Control and Quality Assurance Engineering personnel and co-operating with other functional departments.
- Developing and maintaining Quality documentation and procedures.
- Collecting and analysing data on non-conforming products to enable corrective action to be taken.
- Supporting MRB/CAB activity.
- Preparing and maintaining Quality product, First Article Inspection Report, Inspection and MRB delegation plans.
- Liaising with internal and external customers with regard to Quality Assurance requirements.
- Arranging and controlling audit programmes, including carrying out internal and external site audits.
- Development and introduction of quality initiatives.
- Supporting training in relation to quality requirements for both internal and external customers.
- Candidates should have an awareness of APQP and be able to support related activities, e.g. 8D problem solving, PFMEA and Control Plan development.
Requirements:
- Good interpersonal skills - ability to challenge appropriately whilst maintaining strong relationships.
- Data analysis skills - interpret data sets, graphical data and draw conclusions.
- Work well as part of an integrated team alongside operational and cross functional team members.
- Quality or engineering-based background within a major manufacturing industry.
