Job Description
On behalf of our client, we are looking to appoint a Configuration Manager for an initial 12-month contract. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to company policies and the application of Configuration Management best practices. You will work closely with project, product, and service teams as a key member of the CADM team.
Additionally, you will serve as the first point of support and training for users of the Product Lifecycle Management tool and the Configuration Management Database\\n\\nRole: Configuration Manager\\n Pay: £41 per hour via Umbrella rate\\n Location: Portsmouth\\n Contract: Monday to Friday, 37 Hours a week, 12-month contract\\n IR35 Status: Inside\\n SC Clearnce: SC Clearance, can start on BPSS\\n\\nResponsibilities\\n\\nSupport Project team members for CADM related queries, provide guidance on both Document and Data Management and CMDB use.\\nPropose process improvements.\\nSupport the CADM team members.\\nReport on activities, CMDB state and documentation / data status.\\nSupport CADM Team Leader.\\nYou run the day-to-day management of the configuration status of the Project.\\nYou produce the Project Configuration and Data Management Plan(s), Project Change Management Plan and/or Procedure in line with PLM processes.\\nYou set up and run the CM activities as part of project lifecyle (inc. audits).\\nYou manage the Project(s) workload and highlight any perceived adjustments that might be required to the Local Team Lead or Department Head.\\nYou lead CADM team members assigned to 'your' project(s).\\nYou work closely with the Customer and Project ensuring the requirements are maintained without additional cost or impact to Project or Customer.\\nYou create, manage and distribute the relevant structures (BOMs, Product Trees, Equipment Assembly trees, etc.).\\nYou support Project team members for CADM related queries and provide guidance on both Configuration Management and CMDB use.\\nYou set up and run the CCB activities (Initiation, assessment, CCB facilitation, agenda and report).\\nYou develop CM processes & Tool improvements.\\n Essential requirements:\\n\\nGood standard of education, Degree, HNC, Diploma, NVQ Level 5 or higher.\\nThe role requires SC and eligibility to handle ITAR.\\nPrevious experience of file/data management tools (MS Office, PDF editor, FTP, Nero, etc.).\\nFull Configuration Management knowledge (Configuration Identification, Configuration Structures (Assembly / Product etc), Baseline Management, Change Management, Status Accounting, Auditing).\\nPrevious experience of Product Data Management tools (Windchill, Teamcenter, Aras Minerva, etc.) required\\nUnderstanding of project, product lifecycle highly desirable.\\nExposure to APQP, CMII would be an asset\\nExperience setting up the Configuration processes on new project highly desirable.\\nRequired qualification levelIf you are interested in applying for this position and you meet the requirements, please send your updated CV to: Natalie Dalkin at Line Up Aviation\\n Line Up Aviation is a specialist aviation and aerospace recruitment company that has been operating all over the world for more than 30 years.
