Would you like to join a leading and fast expanding aviation industry Part 145 organisation (a highly regulated aviation component repair & overhaul organisation) in the Midlands as a Compliance & Safety Officer? You will support the continuous improvement of operational integrity and compliance to strict aviation regulations across all airworthiness functions. Role: Compliance & Safety Officer (Part 145) Role type: Permanent full-time Location: Midlands Salary: £35K – £45K D.O.E. As the Compliance & Safety Officer, you will support the Safety and Compliance Manager in ensuring full compliance with UK, European and international Airworthiness regulations (CAA, EASA, FAA Part 145). You\’ll play a key role in maintaining the organisation\’s compliance and safety standards, managing internal audits, and driving a proactive safety culture. You will also act as deputy in the manager\’s absence. In due course, the business aims to promote the successful candidate to Safety Manager. Full training in regulatory compliance, safety and auditing will be provided to ensure you have all the knowledge required to quickly progress in this fantastic opportunity. Read on for the ideal candidate character traits we are seeking for this great opportunity… Main Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining and improving the organisation\’s Compliance Programme in line with Part 145 and other relevant regulations. Support and conduct internal audits across airworthiness functions; ensure findings are documented, analysed, and effectively closed. Monitor regulatory changes and integrate updates into company procedures and training. Contribute to the Safety Management System (SMS) – including hazard reporting, risk assessments, and safety investigations. Assist with staff training on compliance, safety, and regulatory topics. Help maintain and update the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and other controlled documents. Support root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for compliance and safety events. Assist in managing relationships with external customers and suppliers. Ideal candidate profile: Knowledge of EASA Part 145, Part 21, and related airworthiness regulations is desirable. However we can consider applicants from other industries, who are able to demonstrate the required qualities and desire to succeed in this role. Experience using document control systems and project management tools. Must enjoy creation of reports, repetitive administration on occasion, box ticking… Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and training. Ability to engage, educate and influence colleagues across technical and non-technical roles. Applicants must already hold unrestricted right to live and work in the UK.
