On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Production Engineer - Lineside Support to join their team on an initial 12-month contract. In this role, you will provide day-to-day engineering support to production operations by resolving technical issues, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring production activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in maintaining production flow, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and driving operational excellence across the shop floor.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to production teams.
  • Identify, analyse and resolve technical issues that cannot be managed by Operators or First Line Managers.
  • Investigate and support the resolution of Non-Conformities (NCs), production disruptions and assembly issues.
  • Prepare technical documentation including Design Query Notes (DQNs), rework work orders and engineering instructions.
  • Support the management of outstanding work and ensure all associated documentation is completed accurately.
  • Retrieve and provide technical information including engineering drawings, tooling, parts, specifications, etc.
