We are seeking a Senior Business Development Director - Public Sector to join our client on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of selling into the public sector and will be responsible for driving new business sales across Central Government.

Role: Business Development Director - Public Sector

Location: Hybrid

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary: Up to 125,000 + Commission

Responsibilities:

  • Own and successfully close complex revenue pipelines.
  • Deliver and exceed revenue targets.
  • Originate, develop and secure large public sector opportunities valued at 25m+.
  • Implement structured sales methodologies across opportunity pursuit and account planning.
  • Work closely with Bid Directors as part of successful bid teams.
  • Sell innovative, technology-enabled, complex solutions.
  • Operate across areas including contact centres, citizen experience, customer transformation, case management and assessment services.
  • Support opportunities that may extend into specialist training or broader BPO-related propositions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience selling within the public sector environment, particularly Central Government.
  • Demonstrable success in winning large-scale, complex deals valued at 25m+.
  • Experience designing and selling complex, client-focused solutions.
  • Strong understanding and application of established business development methodologies.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with Bid Directors and wider bid teams.
  • Innovative and strategic mindset, with the ability to tailor propositions to meet client needs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with a credible and professional approach.
