Our client, an industry leader within the Defence Market, is seeking a Digital Project Manager to join their team on a contract for 6 months, with the chance for extension.
Location: Bristol or Stevenage
Hours: Monday - Friday, 60% onsite
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: SC required, can start on BPSS
Hourly Rate: £60/hour, via umbrella
Contract: 6 to 9 Months, potential extension.
Responsibilities:
- Our client are looking for a Project Manager who can hit the ground running with a series of pre-planned work packages that will ultimately lead our client towards transformational projects involving the secure movement of data.
- The Project Manager would work with a team of Solution Architects, Analysts and Integration Engineers for an initial term of 8-9 months, with a view to extend.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Project Management experience - Desirable to be gained in a defence organisation
- Strong risk management skills and experience
- Strong knowledge of Project Management fundamentals
- Ability to deal with a degree of ambiguity, using project findings to refine subsequent projects in the roadmap
- Natural ability in negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships and work collaboratively across various levels and with internal and external collaborators
- Drive and motivation in leading project teams to consistently strive for excellence
- Any recent experience of working in the defence industry would be beneficial
- Any recent experience of projects involving data movement and/or information security
