Our client has an opportunity for a Maintenance Operator to join them on a contract basis for 12 months. You will be supporting the Calibration and Maintenance department in ensuring the facility and equipment remain safe, compliant, and operational.

Role: General Maintenance Operator

Location: Bolton, fully onsite

Hours: Nights - Monday-Thursday, 10 hours/night

Hourly Rate: £24.78 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35

Clearance: BPSS required to start

What you'll be doing:

  • Support the Calibration & Maintenance department with general maintenance activities across the facility.
  • Carry out routine facility compliance activities including:
  • ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) testing throughout the facility
  • Electrical Safety Testing of equipment and portable appliances
  • LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) filter changes and associated maintenance tasks
  • Assist with planned preventative maintenance activities and respond to general maintenance requirements as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation and paperwork are completed correctly and on time.
  • Development & Progression:

    This role offers opportunities for progression within the Calibration & Maintenance department. Training and development will be provided to support the successful candidate in developing skills and experience in:

    • Mechanical calibration
    • Electrical calibration
    • Use of test equipment

    Requirements:

    • Manufacturing experience is essential
    • Previous maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
    • Ability to follow procedures and complete documentation accurately
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
    • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and develop technically
