On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit B1.3 Engineers for an initial 6‑month contract. As the B1.3 Engineer you will work for the world’s largest helicopter manufacturer, certifying maintenance and repair on rotorcraft including AS350, AS355 Series, AS365, EC120, EC130, EC135, EC145 and EC155.

  • Role: B1.3 Engineer
  • Pay: £80.26 per hour via Umbrella
  • Location: Shawbury, RAF Valley or Oxford
  • Contract: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 6‑month contract
  • IR35 Status: Inside
  • Security Clearance: BPSS; SC clearance required

Responsibilities

  • Accomplish maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Maintenance Supervisors; this is a certifying role requiring a Part 66 Licence in B1.3 (Turbine Rotorcraft).
  • Work as a team leader, maintaining high standards to ensure safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of UK CAA regulations, especially Part 145, Part M, and UK ANO requirements.
  • Complete maintenance of airframe structure, power plant, and mechanical/electrical systems, including replacement of avionic line‑replaceable units and simple tests to prove serviceability.
  • Supervise maintenance fitters and certify their work.
  • Assist in the day‑to‑day running of the hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.

Essential Skills

  • Part 66 B1.3 Licence.
  • Meet all ITAR and Export Compliance Regulations requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems and specialised test equipment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Flexibility to the company’s and customer’s needs.
