We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is a mobile role covering Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas, working across both commercial and domestic client sites. The role involves servicing, maintaining and fault-finding air conditioning systems, with some exposure to refrigeration equipment, across a wide range of environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain and fault-find air conditioning systems on commercial and domestic sites
  • Attend planned maintenance visits and reactive call-outs
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective, high-quality repairs
  • Work on split systems, VRF/VRV systems
  • Complete neat, accurate service reports and documentation
  • Deliver excellent customer service while representing TRS Cooling professionally
  • Work independently in the field and collaboratively within a small team
  • Adhere to health & safety procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a mobile air conditioning service engineer
  • Strong experience working on commercial and domestic sites
  • Demonstrable knowledge of split systems, VRF/VRV systems
  • Refrigerant Handling qualification (C&G 2079 or equivalent)
  • Minimum NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent organisation, communication and time-management skills
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical clients
  • High standards of workmanship and customer care

Desirable:

  • Confident using Daikin Service Checker and other manufacturers’ diagnostic software
  • Knowledge of refrigeration systems
  • IPAF, PASMA and/or CSCS certifications
  • Strong understanding of health & safety best practices

Salary & Benefits:

  • £46,000 – £48,000 basic salary, based on a 40-hour week (Monday to Friday)
  • No call-out rota
  • Door-to-door pay
