We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team in Stockton-on-Tees. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing exceptional support to our staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a passion for problem-solving, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our IT services.
Outline of Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions using the helpdesk system.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement system upgrades and improvements.
- Educate staff on best practices for IT usage and security protocols.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Information Technology (desirable not essential), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Office 365, MS SQL, MS Dynamics, Microsoft Operating systems & server structures including Active Directory, Intune.
- Excellent knowledge of IT Security infrastructure and implementation.
- Networking experience - IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, WIFI, cabling & infrastructure.
- Project management experience.
- Proven experience in an IT support role or similar position.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with helpdesk software and remote support tools.
- Ability to apply new technologies for use within the company.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
