Overview
Our mission is to power biology's century with radically faster, more reliable clinical trials. Every new treatment needs clinical trials to prove safety and efficacy, but today's infrastructure is outdated—driving up costs, causing delays, and ultimately meaning new treatments don’t reach patients. We are fundamentally changing that—not just being a "better CRO," but transforming how people think about developing new treatments, so patients can access breakthrough treatments faster.
Since March 2021, we have powered over 100 clinical trials involving tens of thousands of patients. We recently raised a $55M Series B from Balderton Capital, alongside backing from Creandum, Firstminute, Seedcamp, and Visionaries.
What it's like to work here?
- High-Impact, Mission-Driven Work: Lindus Health is disrupting an outdated industry, giving you the chance to directly improve patients’ lives and see tangible results from your work.
- Fast-Paced Growth & Ownership: We recognise hard work and outcomes over anything else. You’ll take on real responsibility, work across different areas, and actively shape the company’s success.
- Collaborative, No-Ego Culture: Work with smart, driven people in a supportive and informal environment. At Lindus, we break down silos, fun is a core value, and creativity is encouraged.
Ready to power biology's century? We would love to hear from you.
About the role
We are looking for a mid-level software engineer to help build the platform powering the next generation of clinical trials. Join our fast-moving team and help us scale the product to manage complex trials and bring new treatments to patients faster. This is an onsite role in London with a flexible (hybrid) office arrangement. After an initial onboarding period full-time at our headquarters (near London Bridge), we expect you to be in the office at least 3 days a week.
About You
We’d like to hear from you if:
- You have 3+ years experience as a software engineer collaborating within a team.
- You are product-minded: you want to understand why we are building something to figure out the best how in collaboration with product managers, designers, and users.
- You are comfortable working across a stack that includes frontend (TypeScript/React), backend (Python/Django/Postgres), and infrastructure (AWS). You don’t necessarily have hands-on experience with all pieces of our stack but are happy to pick up technology that’s new to you.
- You can work independently but also collaborate well with others.
- You are passionate and curious about our mission; changing how the healthcare industry operates and how new health treatments are developed.
- You want to learn what life is like at a high-growth, mission-driven VC funded startup.
If your experience and interests match those above, we want you to apply.
What You’ll Focus On
In your first month:
- Learn about clinical trials and the problems we are trying to solve through our onboarding training and chats with people across the company.
- Collaborate with the product team on starter projects and make your first commits.
- Become familiar with the core components of our stack (React, TypeScript, Django, Python, Postgres, Amazon ECS).
In your first 3 months:
- Become a part of the regular product development cycle: join a squad and deliver a feature in Citrus, our trial delivery platform.
- Develop a deeper understanding of one or more areas of our stack.
- Contribute actively to the team’s processes and rituals, such as retrospectives and standups.
Within your first 6 months:
- Get close to users, observe the product being used in real trials, and support the team in responding to feature requests and bug reports.
- Take on more complex coding and design tasks.
- Rotate through our support team, handling user issues and investigating and fixing bugs.
- Deepen your understanding of clinical trials, and build relationships across the wider company.
What we offer
We believe in rewarding the people who are building the future of clinical research.
- Financial & Growth: Competitive salary plus meaningful equity - you will own a piece of what we are building. £1,000 annual Learning & Development budget for courses, certifications, and conferences. 39 days annual leave (30 days PTO + 8 bank holidays + 1 James Lind Day).
- Health & Wellbeing: £60 monthly wellness allowance with flexibility on how to spend this, including opting in to a company private health insurance or wellhub membership. Access to gym and retail discounts through Happl.
- Culture & Connection: Monthly lunch vouchers for remote team members. Regular company events and team gatherings (both virtual and in-person). Charity partnerships and volunteering opportunities with Forward Trust. Work with a team that is genuinely changing healthcare for the better.
