Our mission is to power biology's century with radically faster, more reliable clinical trials. Every new treatment needs clinical trials to prove safety and efficacy, but today's infrastructure is stuck in the past, driving up costs, causing delays, and ultimately meaning new treatments don’t get to patients. We are fundamentally changing that - not just being a "better CRO," but transforming how people think about developing new treatments, so patients can access breakthrough treatments faster. Our impact speaks for itself: Since March 2021, we have powered 100+ clinical trials involving tens of thousands of patients. We recently raised a $55M Series B from Balderton Capital, alongside backing from Creandum, Firstminute, Seedcamp, and Visionaries.
What’s it like to work here? When you join us, you’ll experience:
- High-Impact, Mission-Driven Work: Lindus Health is disrupting an outdated industry, giving you the chance to directly improve patients’ lives and see tangible results from your work.
- Fast-Paced Growth & Ownership: We recognise hard work and outcomes over anything else. You’ll take on real responsibility, work across different areas, and actively shape the company’s success.
- Collaborative, No-Ego Culture: Work with smart, driven people in a supportive and informal environment. At Lindus, we break down silos, fun is a core value, and creativity is encouraged.
About The Role: We are looking for an Associate Director of Clinical Operations to step into senior leadership, combining portfolio oversight with commercial management, sponsor relationship ownership, and people leadership. This role bridges operations and commercial functions, ensuring trial success while viewing trials through a commercial lens.
About You: You bring 10+ years of experience in clinical trials. You have deep Clinical Operations SME expertise, as well as core skill excellence (e.g., project management, work ethic, ability to learn, ownership, excellent communication skills with all stakeholders, solutions focus and initiative). You have overseen a portfolio of at least 3 active trials, partnering with Project Leads to drive trial success, resolving escalations, securing the right resourcing, and finding ways to improve gross margin. You have managed commercial matters within agreed SOW parameters, including scope clarifications, minor timeline adjustments, and trial-level budget discussions, working with trial teams and sponsor stakeholders and knowing when to escalate to a change order. You have owned broader sponsor relationships, taking a strategic approach to account management that builds trust and long-term partnerships. You stay ahead of problems, proactively identifying issues and developing strategies that protect study integrity, data quality, and patient safety. You have kept sponsors and key stakeholders well-connected, maintaining clear and consistent communication that underpins strong working relationships. You have led and developed teams of Project Leads and Project Associates, providing line management, performance reviews, and genuine investment in their growth. You have played a key role in bridging Business Development and Clinical Operations, ensuring new projects are handed over and set up for success from day one.
What You’ll Focus On: You will actively shape working practices, SOPs, systems and tools, ensuring robust study management execution and stakeholder communications, and keeping procedures accurate and reflective of current best practice. You will contribute to the early stages of the sales process, supporting the commercial team in prospect engagement by bringing operational and subject matter expertise to the table. You will build and deliver training programmes, providing ongoing support and stewardship to your team, covering both internal and external development. You will be a strong cross-functional collaborator, working closely across teams including Product, and acting as a role model to more junior colleagues. You will build and maintain strong sponsor relationships, delivering successful trials and the kind of experience that brings customers back. You will be the escalation point for trial management delivery, taking a solutions-focused approach to supporting, mitigating and resolving issues before they go further. You will serve as line manager, advisor, coach and mentor to trial teams, and act as a go-to resource for best practice. You will be a genuine contributor to team culture, helping set the tone and environment that allows the clinical operations team to do its best work.
What we offer: We believe in rewarding the people who are building the future of clinical research.
- Financial & Growth: Competitive salary plus meaningful equity - you will own a piece of what we’re building. £1,000 annual Learning & Development budget for courses, certifications, and conferences. 39 days annual leave (30 days PTO + 8 bank holidays + 1 James Lind Day).
- Health & Wellbeing: £60 monthly wellness allowance with flexibility on how to spend this, including opting in to a company private health insurance or wellhub membership. Access to gym and retail discounts through Happl.
- Culture & Connection: Monthly lunch vouchers for remote team members. Regular company events and team gatherings (both virtual and in-person). Charity partnerships and volunteering opportunities with Forward Trust. Work with a team that’s genuinely changing healthcare for the better.
