We are currently seeking a Design Coordinator to join our Lindum York Team based at our regional office in the village of Elvington. The division focuses on new build and refurbishment construction contracts as well as planned and reactive maintenance works in the Yorkshire region.

You will be working on a variety of construction projects in a range of sectors including affordable housing, industrial and commercial; with the responsibility of managing the design process, ensuring compliance and maximising value engineering opportunities at both tender and construction phases.

Design coordination experience is essential and daily tasks will include:

  • Managing the design team and chairing design team meetings
  • Producing Information Required Schedules
  • Chairing design review workshops with the construction team
  • Developing value engineering solutions
  • Preparing technical submissions to Client teams
  • Assisting in appointment and review of design sub-contractors
  • Reviewing the build on site for compliance and assisting the site team with queries
  • Preparing Health and Safety file
