Based at our regional office in the village of Elvington, our Lindum York division focuses on new build and refurbishment construction contracts as well as planned and reactive maintenance works in the Yorkshire region.
We are currently looking for a Multi-Skilled Tradesperson to join the Lindum BMS (Building Maintenance Services) Team, proficient in some or all areas of site joinery, plastering, bricklaying, decorating, as well as individuals with general construction and building experience. You will be required to work at various locations in and around York, usually within a 50-mile radius of the city.
Roles are full-time (45 hours per week, Monday to Friday) with additional overtime. Employment benefits include pension, profit-related pay, paid annual leave, employee share scheme, and other benefits, as well as opportunities for further training, development, and progression. A company van will also be provided where required for the role.
Responsibilities include:
- Proficiency in site joinery, plastering, bricklaying, and decorating.
- General construction and building experience.
- Working in privately occupied premises while maintaining professionalism and friendliness.
- Completing a DBS check for safeguarding purposes and vetting by specific clients.
Industry experience is required. In-date relevant health and safety training would be an advantage, as would a recognised trade qualification for skilled roles. Our tradespeople take a common-sense approach to their work and go the extra mile to look after our clients.
Where required for the role, a company van is provided, in which case a full driving licence is required with any endorsements to be checked with our insurers.
