We are seeking a commercially curious finance professional to join our Commercial Finance team. The role focuses on monitoring and analyzing business performance, supporting pricing, trade spend, rebates, reporting and month‐end processes, and account management across Wholesale, Retail and Ireland divisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pricing
    • Support the pricing process, lead file creation and setup of key price changes.
    • Prepare and review Net Pricing files.
    • Review gross profit impact of pricing, escalating to CF Business Partners where appropriate.
    • Communicate pricing claims and work with Finance/Sales to reduce costs.
    • Create reporting processes to provide insight into current pricing and accuracy of forecasting.
  • Trade Spend Activities, Promotional and Residual Funding; and Year End Rebates
    • Post monthly trade spend accruals and ensure timely, accurate setup in SAP and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Ensure year‐end rebate terms in SAP reflect latest trade agreements, process invoices and update reconciliations.
    • Review % accruals in forecast vs actuals, ensuring no under‐accrual or material differences.
  • Rebate Management Process
    • Manage the interface of rebates from Visual Fabriq to SAP, resolve issues and escalate to business partners.
    • Support month‐end balance sheet process and reconcile systems between Visual Fabriq and SAP.
    • Lead management of daily rebate interface errors, resolving and involving CF Business Partners.
    • Challenge sales when rebates allocated to invoices do not match.
    • Lead rebate risk meetings with CF Business Partners, highlight under‐accruals and alternative rebate proposals.
    • Prepare seasonal Sell Through trackers with CF Business Partners and Sales Account Managers.
  • Reporting
    • Distribute key monthly reporting on business performance for actuals and forecast, providing insights.
    • Identify opportunities to automate and improve reporting.
  • Month End
    • Own month‐end calendar updates, task allocation, send key month‐end reports, support Senior CF Business Partner on Working Day 2 submission and run month‐end comment and BI tables.
  • Account Management
    • Lead account review process for key accounts, partnering with Sales National Account Manager to ensure accurate forecasts and margin improvements.
  • Commercial Finance Support Cover
    • Collaborate with the team to ensure completion of shared tasks when colleagues are out of the office.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Preferred

  • Currently studying or planning to study an accounting qualification (CIMA preferred) – begin study after 6 months.
  • Graduate with finance‐related degree and placement year, or finance professional with up to 2 years experience in FMCG/retail or finance/consultancy environments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to engage both financial and non‐financial audiences.
  • Performance driven, tenacious and goal‐oriented.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, detail‐oriented.
  • Aspiring to achieve results and build solid relationships.
  • Good Excel skills; experience with SAP S/4HANA, TPM and BI appreciated.

How You Will Be Rewarded Financially

  • Salary range: £32,000 – £40,000 per annum.
