About the role

You will be a key part of the pharmacy team, working across the healthcare area and dispensary, to meet patients’ needs. Your focus each day will be to deliver a great service to our patients, through holding conversations tailored to the individual needs of each patient and delivering on the operational requirements of the position.

This is a relief position and you must be able to travel across 16 pharmacies in Edinburgh, West Calder and Broxburn.

Job Description

  • Accurately dispensing prescription medications to patients.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and addressing patient queries.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records.
  • Delivering exceptional standards through operational compliance to ensure efficiency and maximise profitability.
  • Managing stock, including ordering, date checking, and organizing medications.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and professional requirements.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and promote our services.

What you’ll need to have.

We’re offering you an exciting opportunity to continue your professional journey. You will need to have an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services and may currently be or have previous experience of working as a Pharmacy Dispenser to join us.

We’re offering you an exciting opportunity to start on your professional journey. You will need to have experience of working with customers and be willing to complete an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services.

  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent), or willing to work towards.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using different IT systems.

  • Working Pattern – Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, or 9am-5:30pm depending on opening hours. Contract includes 1 in 4 Saturdays 9am-5pm, Friday off if working Saturday.
