Accountant Permanent Colwick/WB area - £43000 -£45000 plus study package

We re looking for an Accountant to join our busy Colwick office at coLaunch. As our business grows rapidly, we need a positive, energetic team player who can produce monthly accounts, build strong client relationships, manage a small team and fit seamlessly into our supportive culture.

Role Overview:

  • Lead delivery of core financial services (bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts) for a group of clients.
  • Mentor and review the work of a small team of four.
  • Work closely with clients, offering support and professional advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review accurate, timely management accounts.
  • Ensure VAT returns are completed, reviewed, and submitted in compliance with UK regulations.
  • Oversee and quality-check bookkeeping carried out by team members.
  • Monitor data accuracy and reconciliation across all client records.
  • Act as a day-to-day contact for client queries.
  • Coach and support junior staff (4) to maintain high standards and improve processes.
  • Maintain well-organised working papers for internal use and handover to external accountants.

What We\'re Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a finance or accounting role (multi-client experience desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounting.
  • Qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Practice or Commercial experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (Not Essential), strong Excel
