We are looking to appoint a Sports Coach to work at Lindens Academy from September 2026. The main duties will be to plan and deliver high quality sport and physical activities to all children from Nursery to Year 6 following the PE National Curriculum and deliver a range of extracurricular activities after school.
The role will involve encouraging students to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage in all activities, ensuring all pupils are included and understand the curriculum and class activities. You must be able to understand the individual needs of children and develop and inspire young people to become and stay involved in Sport.
Previous experience within a classroom or coaching environment is essential. Experience in 1:1 support and classroom management is essential.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS; two suitable references, Prohibition check (where applicable); Childcare Disqualification (where applicable); qualifications (where applicable); medical fitness; identity, right to work checks will be required. An online search will also be carried out as part of due diligence on all short-listed candidates. This post involves working with children and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at an enhanced level.
