You will have a critical role in ensuring that all parts leaving the facility conform to the Customer and Linde requirements and specifications. Here at Linde, our commitment to Quality is not a responsibility we take lightly, and as a Quality Inspector, you will be the custodial for this.
You will inspect critical and sensitive aerospace parts. Understanding the inspection priorities within the department to meet production requirements and targets will be part of your role. Ensure that process documentation is correct, confirming the customer drawing and the drawing issue status is correct and process documents (PD) are to the correct issue and the contract review has been carried out correctly.
Visually inspecting parts to ensure they are correct to the customers drawing and identify any anomalies will be part of your role. You will call up the areas to be coated and calculate the thickness required using the PD and customer drawing and check completed parts to customer drawings, specifications and PD requirements. You will use appropriate documentation and measuring equipment to ensure customer requirements have been met. Raising NCRs (non-conformance reports), inform appropriate departments and raise endorsements on outgoing paperwork will be part of your role.
What makes you great:
- You will be able to use various pieces of measuring equipment (Micrometers & Vernier’s) and make mathematical calculations (including making unit conversions).
- You must be a flexible individual, with the ability to prioritise your work and adapt to the changing production/quality demands when required.
- You have good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- You are competent in the use of basic Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
- You have good attention to detail.
- Some previous exposure to inspection within manufacturing is desirable.
- Previous experience in surface coating application or in the aerospace sector would be an advantage but not essential.
