What you will enjoy doing

  • You will provide visible leadership for all Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Operational Excellence activities within the coating operation
  • Owning the production planning process within the operation, ensuring capacity, labour, materials, and equipment resources are aligned to customer demand will be part of your role
  • You will lead the daily execution of the production plan, ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity objectives are achieved
  • Further, you will lead the daily performance reviews focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and Continuous Improvement metrics
  • You will drive improvements in key business measures including OEE, labour productivity, sales per head, operating profit per head, waste reduction, and customer service
  • Establishing and sustaining a disciplined Standard Plant approach through Leadership Standard Work and 6S principles will be part of your role

What makes you great

  • You have a degree qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience
  • You have 3-5 years' experience leading production teams in a manufacturing, aerospace, precision engineering, coating, or other regulated industrial environment
  • Further, you have a proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity, and Operational Excellence
  • Strong experience in production planning, capacity management, resource optimisation, and execution of customer-driven production schedules round up you profile
  • You have demonstrated success implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Management Daily Improvement (MDI), Leadership Standard Work, and visual management systems
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher), IOSH/NEBOSH qualification, and knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and structured problem-solving methodologies are highly desirable
