What you will enjoy doing:

  • Architect, implement and be responsible for software development (coding standards, system, software delivery and feedback).
  • Design and develop software applications using OO languages (C# and C++) and control algorithms using embedded code (C/C++).
  • Collaborate with electronics, mechanical and systems engineers to integrate software with hardware components and robotics platforms.
  • Develop, write and maintain documentation (under ISO 13485), including both IEC 62304 required documentation, as well as company software development procedures (design, servicing and updates, testing and integration and other life cycle documentation).
  • Support ongoing requirements of cybersecurity for medical devices and implement/integrate relevant updates on products to keep systems secure.
  • Improve software for modern development standards, in line with FDA and other relevant regulatory bodies (using memory safe languages such as Rust) as well as providing the architecture necessary for easy feature expansion.

What makes you great:

  • Degree in computer science or related field and/or proven experience (min 5 years) developing and shipping production level code C/C++, C#, and .NET for PC application development.
  • Thorough understanding of software delivery architecture and challenges like bug reporting, replication and tracking.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and version control (Git, Azure).
  • Experience of working in a regulated industry, medical devices or similar (IEC 62304, ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
  • Experience with higher level embedded system operational approaches (RTOS, or embedded Linux).
