What you will enjoy doing
- You will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical equipment is operating safely and efficiently through inspection, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of any faults or defects found.
- You will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and testing of equipment and installation of new equipment to ensure they are operating within acceptable parameters by use of Planned Maintenance on SAP.
- Maintain safe working practices, including strict control of the Permit to Work system thereby ensuring that internal maintenance team and 3rd party contractors carry out work in a safe manner.
- You will be responsible for the engagement and control of contractors for civil, mechanical, instrument and electrical work without scope of the internal maintenance team.
- You will be responsible for maintaining records and documentation of all mechanical equipment on site including installation dates, repairs, maintenance and safety inspections.
What makes you great
- You are energetic, self-motivated and disciplined.
- You have a level 4 Apprenticeship (or equivalent trade experience) in Mechanical Engineering.
- ATEX Qualification and comfortability working in atmosphere explosive environments is ideal.
- Experience of operating in a manufacturing, engineering or scientific environment is preferred.
- You have a systematic and logical approach to problem solving.
- As a team player, you possess great communication skills as well as a good command of English.
- Experience of MS Office Programs and SAP would be beneficial.
