Responsibilities
- Oversee/manage an annual spend of > $100MM at our businesses in Europe and parts of Asia to achieve annual cash flow and departmental/business annual goals.
- Lead and supervise a team of buyers located across multiple European countries.
- Assist in the definition of strategy and objectives in collaboration with the Director of Global Procurement so decisions have a direct and long-term effect on business profitability and growth.
- Work closely with production to ensure uninterrupted material flow, partner with R&D and Engineering on new material qualification, and lead supplier negotiations to support new product development and offerings.
- Responsible for issuing and leading large-scale tenders, managing the end-to-end procurement process from RFQ/RFP through to contract award and execution.
- Champion the supplier management process with critical suppliers and build business relationships with them as a source of sustainable advantage for LAMT.
- Use total cost of ownership levers to achieve measurable cost reduction, cycle time reduction, improved service, increased reliability, and productivity improvements.
- Negotiate complex, high-stakes global supply agreements in line with LAMT’s business interests and policies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Global Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Sales, and/or Supply Chain experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related fields.
- Demonstrable experience working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to operational processes and procurement activities.
- In-depth knowledge of Key Commodities.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Prepared to travel regionally and internationally 15-30% of the time.
- Proficient in spoken and written English; bilingual or multilingual in French, Italian, or German is advantageous but not required.
