The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

This position is involved in the final stage of truck preparation including, where necessary, initial preparation prior to paint, primer and finished coat for all trucks that are completed in the workshop.

We offer reporting to the workshop manager, working closely with the workshop team leader. The expectation of the role will enable the workshop to operate with optimised efficiency and deliver apposite levels of throughput with consistent quality, corresponding to the business needs for refurbished and STR equipment.

The role will require localised control and management of paint and preparation materials required to do the job.

Tasks and Qualifications:
  • To comply with all aspects of Health and Safety ensuring H&S initiatives are embraced and incorporated in the role.
  • To work to a high standard for preparation and finish of trucks that go through the paint process.
  • To maintain a reasonable stock of paint, solvent, and preparation materials, and to reorder stock in a timely manner to ensure continuity of work through the paint shop.
  • To manage your own PPE, including suitable storage to protect the equipment when not in use.
  • To maintain a clean and orderly paint bay inclusive of housekeeping and safe working environment.
  • To check compressor oil levels and correct operation of any pressure regulators on a daily basis.
  • To maintain and change extract filters to the required schedule.
  • To carry out startup and shutdown checks daily.
  • To report any air leaks as they become apparent.
  • To work efficiently planning work to reduce non-productive time.
